Job Summary
Elveo is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to support the manufacturing of satellites for our constellation. This role focuses on developing work instructions, defining process flows, and building test fixtures (jigs) to enable efficient and repeatable production. Elveo builds many spacecraft at a rapid rate, so the ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable translating engineering designs into clear, executable manufacturing processes. We are looking for individuals with experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and familiarity with CAD tools for fixture design.
Core Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth continuous production of Elveo's satellites by performing a variety of tasks which include:
Developing and maintaining detailed work instructions for assembly, integration, and test operations
Working with technicians and engineers to ensure processes are clear, efficient, and manufacturable
Designing and building test fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support production and testing
Identifying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements including opportunities to automate processes and develop/procure equipment needed to support this.
Maintaining revision control and ensuring accuracy of all manufacturing documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or similar)
3+ years of experience
Experience creating work instructions and process documentation in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience designing or building test fixtures, jigs, or tooling
Experience with maintaining work instruction in MES software
Demonstrated ability to stay organized in fast-paced environments
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
Strong communication ability
