Your Mission
As a Bid Manager / Project Manager, your mission is to manage and advance the bids and institutional projects. Drawing upon your expertise and innovative mindset, you will lead projects with ESA, EC, DLR and other institutions for the purpose of an ongoing development program. Your collaborative and forward-thinking approach will be instrumental in achieving our objectives: revolutionizing space accessibility and advancing the frontiers of the space industry.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead institutional bid of ESA, DLR, EC, governmental institutions, etc
- Manage institutional projects with external stakeholders
- Ensure tender deadlines and project milestones are met according to plan
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for the institutional projects
- Perform concept studies and trade-offs
- Communicate effectively with project contributors as well as between company and external stakeholders
- Create and manager high-quality project and technical documentation in accordance with external stakeholder expectation, e.g ESA, to ensure future grant and project involvement.
Who you are and what you have
Education:
- Master study in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
- Technical affinity with a pronounced understanding of rocketry
- Experienced in using MS Office applications
Experience:
- Work experience as bid or project manager, including external stakeholder management, for at least 5 years
- Work experience in an institutional environment, for at least 2 years
Hard Skills:
- Strong writing skills in English and German
- Strong organizational skills and an aptitude for task prioritization
- Strong project management skills, and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for successfully delivering the bid / project
- Analytical thinking
- Basic understanding of mechanical, avionics and propulsion systems
- Experience with material selection and make vs. buy decisions for system components.

- Languages: English and German
Nice to Have:
- Experience a Young Graduate Trainee at ESA or other European institution
- Experience in design of mechanical systems
