Why this role matters

As ICEYE’s Global Mobility Specialist, you’ll design and deliver seamless international moves for our talent. As part of our global HR team, you’ll own the end-to-end relocation and immigration journey; cutting through complexity in visas, tax, and logistics so ICEYErs can hit the ground running anywhere in the world.

With ~50 active relocations and growing, this is a pivotal moment to scale our approach. You’ll evolve hands-on processes into a tech-enabled mobility engine, building the foundation while managing day-to-day delivery. Your goal: ensure every move is compliant, frictionless, and delivered with a high-care, hypercare experience that puts our people first.

Who We Are

ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.

As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.

ICEYE is headquartered in Finland and operates globally across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. We have more than 900 employees, united by a shared vision: improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.

The HR Operations team at ICEYE is a strategic function, shaping the future of work at ICEYE. We drive operational excellence and focus on delivering a great employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle globally. Operating with agility and a user-centric approach, we continuously iterate and refine our processes. By thoughtfully integrating AI, automation, and data, we craft personalized experiences that meet diverse needs, ensure robust compliance, and enable ICEYE to grow and scale effectively while maintaining our people-centric culture globally. We provide core operational services for both the HR team and the entire organization.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Continue to build and audit current mobility practices and further enhance a standardized global mobility framework, including tiered relocation packages, localized "Welcome Guides," and clear internal SLAs.
  • Take immediate ownership of ~50 active global relocation and immigration cases, ensuring all ICEYErs currently in transit receive high-touch support and timely updates.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all external relocation and immigration vendors globally; evaluating performance, renegotiating contracts where necessary, and ensuring they fully represent ICEYE’s culture, and goals
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for work permits, visas, and right-to-work compliance across all ICEYE jurisdictions, ensuring we stay ahead of changing international regulations.
  • Partner with the wider HR Operations team to integrate mobility workflows into our HRIS (Hibob), leveraging automation to reduce manual tracking and improve data integrity for tax and social security compliance.
  • Consult with Talent Acquisition and Business Leaders on the cost-projections and feasibility of international hires, providing data-driven recommendations to support ICEYE’s global growth.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the global mobility budget, tracking relocation spend and tax equalization costs to ensure transparency and ROI for the business.
  • Employee Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for employees via our ticketing system, providing empathetic and accurate guidance on complex topics like tax residency, school searches, and cultural integration.
