What you need

We are looking to add a Quality Inspector II to our team. In this role you will support manufacturing and quality operations by performing inspections, verifying product conformity, and documenting inspection results to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and organizational quality requirements. The Quality Inspector II contributes to product quality and manufacturing consistency by evaluating inspection results, identifying nonconformances, and supporting quality control processes throughout production.

Working cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain, this role supports incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities while ensuring products comply with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections in accordance with engineering drawings, inspection plans, and quality standards.
  • Verify product dimensions, workmanship, materials, and documentation to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and established acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, document, and communicate product nonconformances while supporting containment activities to prevent nonconforming material from progressing through production.
  • Complete inspection records, quality documentation, inspection reports, and nonconformance records accurately and in accordance with quality management system requirements.
  • Record inspection results, measurement data, and quality observations to maintain product traceability and support quality reporting activities.
  • Assist with quality trend reporting by maintaining inspection documentation and providing accurate inspection data for quality reviews and corrective action activities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain to support inspection activities and production priorities.
  • Communicate inspection findings, product discrepancies, quality concerns, and nonconformance information to appropriate personnel for timely resolution.
  • Support manufacturing readiness, product acceptance, and continuous improvement activities by providing accurate inspection information and quality feedback.
  • Assist with implementation of quality control procedures and inspection activities that improve product quality and manufacturing consistency.
  • Maintain inspection equipment, work areas, inspection documentation, and measurement records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of inspection processes, quality control activities, and manufacturing operations.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree, formal occupational training, or industry certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. 0–3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, manufacturing, production, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of quality control, inspection methods, and manufacturing quality principles.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, acceptance criteria, and quality documentation requirements.
  • Experience applying inspection techniques, nonconformance reporting procedures, and controlled documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of measurement tools, inspection equipment, product verification methods, and quality control processes.
  • Understanding of quality management systems, product traceability, corrective action processes, and manufacturing quality requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify product defects, inspection discrepancies, and quality concerns.
  • Applies sound judgment when evaluating product conformity, inspection results, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, e.g. Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent applications.
  • Quality management systems (QMS), e.g. ETQ Reliance, Arena QMS, MasterControl, or equivalent applications.
  • Inspection and measurement systems, e.g. CMM software, digital measurement tools, or equivalent applications.
