
Liaison Engineer, Mid-Career and Senior Level

The Boeing CompanyBoeing is seeking Mid-Career or Senior Liaison Engineers to support production and in-service engineering activities at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This role is responsible for applying engineering principles to evaluate and resolve product and process issues, support root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for non-conforming conditions. This position is intended for candidates with strong engineering fundamentals, aerospace problem-solving experience, and the ability to support liaison engineering activities in a mission-critical environment. The selected candidate will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams to help ensure design intent, safety, and mission success are maintained in a high-tempo aerospace environment. This position will be either 2nd or 3rd shift.
Key Responsibilities
Apply Boeing engineering design principles to evaluate and resolve product, process, and in-service technical issues.
Support root cause analysis, failure analysis, and corrective action development for non-conforming conditions.
Develop and support engineering dispositions for technical issues and product/process anomalies.
Prepare and coordinate technical communications with system owners, production personnel, and other stakeholders.
Collect, analyze, and evaluate fleet and customer data to identify product and process improvement opportunities.
Identify deviations that may impact design intent, safety, or compliance.
Participate in Material Review Boards (MRBs), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and other technical forums as required.
Support development of interim structural repairs and other technical solutions to restore conformity or design capability.
Provide engineering decision support for recurrent product support issues and technical resolution efforts.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
Support preparation of technical documentation, analyses, and technical summaries as required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Flexible hours may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on program or Operational needs.)
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statemen
Mid-Career Level 3: Typically, 5 or more years' related work experience
Experience applying engineering fundamentals to solve product, process, or technical issues.
Ability to analyze engineering data and communicate technical findings clearly.
Working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and configuration control.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support multiple priorities.
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Senior Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience
Demonstrated ability to independently evaluate complex technical issues and develop sound engineering solutions.
Experience leading root cause investigations, corrective action development, and engineering dispositions.
Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, or systems engineering principles.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and influence cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to manage technical scope, communicate effectively, and support high-visibility program needs.
Experience in aerospace, space systems, or other highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with MRB processes, technical reviews, and non-conformance resolution.
Experience supporting production line operations and in-service problem resolution.
Knowledge of structural repairs, product definition, and configuration management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Level 4 Summary pay range: $ 126,650 - $171,350
