This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Profile Lead Recruiter (PLR)

The Profile Lead Recruiter (PLR) is responsible for profile-level talent strategy and end-to-end recruiting delivery for assigned Operations hiring profiles. The PLR owns the recruiting strategy, requisition and funnel health, candidate experience, interview process, and offer delivery for their assigned profiles. This role works in close partnership with the Recruiting Business Partner (RBP), Recruiting Manager, Sourcers, Full Lifecycle Recruiters, Recruiting Coordinators, and hiring teams to deliver predictable, high-quality hiring outcomes.

The PLR carries a monthly productivity target and is accountable for translating business hiring priorities into profile-specific recruiting plans, building and managing talent pipelines, driving candidate progression, and leading offer strategy and closing. The PLR also enables consistent execution across the recruiting team by establishing profile expertise, sharing market intelligence, and reinforcing strong recruiting practices.


A successful PLR demonstrates strong recruiting judgment, candidate-closing capability, operational discipline, data fluency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Own end-to-end recruiting delivery for assigned job profiles, including intake, sourcing strategy, candidate assessment, interview process management, offer development, offer extension, and closing.
  • Develop and execute profile-specific talent strategies based on hiring demand, market conditions, talent availability, and business requirements.
  • Maintain accountability for requisition health, funnel performance, candidate conversion, offer acceptance, time to fill, and candidate experience for assigned profiles.
  • Lead offer strategy and closing activities for applicable Operations roles, including offer creation, offer extension, negotiation, and coordination with Compensation, HR, and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with RBPs to align profile-level delivery plans with business priorities, workforce plans, hiring forecasts, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Partner with Sourcers to develop multi-channel candidate-generation strategies, strengthen pipelines, and address profile-specific talent-market challenges.
  • Manage candidate progression through the recruiting lifecycle, ensuring timely communication, high-quality candidate preparation, timely feedback, and a consistent interview experience.
  • Establish and maintain profile expertise, including job requirements, skill and experience criteria, competitive talent markets, compensation considerations, and candidate motivations.
  • Support interview-process effectiveness through interviewer preparation, calibration, process discipline, and candidate-experience best practices.
  • Monitor recruiting data and funnel performance; identify bottlenecks, delivery risks, and improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and profile expertise to recruiting peers to drive consistency in candidate assessment, messaging, pipeline management, and closing practices.
  • Partner with Recruiting Operations, Recruiting Coordinators, Compensation, HR, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, efficient, and high-quality hiring execution.
  • Continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and workflows to increase speed, quality, candidate experience, and operational consistency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of corporate and/or search firm recruiting experience, including full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and searches in a fast-paced, high-volume, or complex hiring environment.
  • Experience developing sourcing and recruiting strategies for specialized, difficult-to-fill, or high-demand job profiles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading offer strategy, candidate closing, and offer negotiation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using ATS, CRM, reporting, and other recruiting data tools to track recruiting activity and performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Operations functions, including manufacturing, supply chain, facilities, production, engineering, or comparable technical and operational hiring environments.
  • Experience recruiting for high-volume, high-growth, or rapidly changing organizations.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and consulting skills, with the ability to set clear expectations and provide constructive pushback when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast profile-level hiring delivery using demand plans, requisition volume, funnel conversion rates, interviewer capacity, and market conditions.
  • Experience analyzing and managing funnel metrics—including pipeline volume, stage conversion, aging, interview-to-offer conversion, offer acceptance, and time to fill—to identify risks, remove bottlenecks, and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Experience designing and executing multi-channel sourcing strategies, including direct sourcing, talent communities, events, referrals, and employer-brand initiatives.
  • Experience supporting structured interview practices, interviewer calibration, and candidate-experience improvements.
  • Proven ability to build credibility as a subject-matter expert for assigned profiles and to coach recruiting partners on effective talent-market and candidate-engagement strategies.


 

Base Pay Range for:

WA applicants is $112,059.00 - $156,882.60

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
