Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed. At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will serve as the on-the-floor expert responsible for ensuring hardware is staged, moving, and arriving at point-of-use in direct support of the production plan.
You will act as the connective tissue between Operations Leadership, Production Control, and the shop floor — driving accountability to schedule, identifying at-risk hardware before it becomes a constraint, and relentlessly pursuing resolution to keep production moving.
You will work recovery and pull-in options on late, missing, or at-risk hardware across the production flow, evaluate available recovery paths, and present recommendations to leadership with clear summaries of options, impacts, and trade-offs. You will directly support the generation and maintenance of our Daily, Weekly, 2-Week, and Monthly Production Plans, translate plan requirements into actionable hardware staging and movement priorities, and physically verify hardware status on the floor.
This role requires a bias toward action — you will not wait for problems to surface; you will find them first and drive resolution.

No travel required.
Shift: A-Shift, Monday – Friday, 5:00 am –1:30 pm (8 hours). Overtime available.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain real-time physical and system-level awareness of hardware location, status, and readiness across the entire production flow — from raw material receipt through final assembly — proactively identifying at-risk, stalled, or missing hardware before it impacts the build schedule.
Drive recovery actions on constrained hardware by evaluating and executing expedite paths including priority re-sequencing, overtime acceleration, parallel processing, expedited inspection, and inter-cell reallocation; present options with clear impact assessments to Ops Leadership and Production Control for rapid decision-making.
Directly support the creation, maintenance, and execution of Daily, Weekly, 2-Week, and Monthly Production Plans by translating planning requirements into actionable hardware staging priorities and ensuring floor-level activity aligns to committed schedules.
Coordinate cross-functionally with kitting, staging, material handling, inspection, quality, MRB, and receiving teams to pull hardware through bottlenecks, resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records, and ensure on-time delivery to point-of-use.
Maintain rigorous documentation of hardware status, recovery actions, and escalation history; communicate constraints, risks, and resolution paths clearly and consistently to Ops Leadership, Production Control, and cross-functional stakeholders through established reporting cadences.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, production control, material coordination, expediting, or a related shop floor role within an aerospace, defense, or high-complexity production environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for tracking work orders, inventory status, and production schedules.
Proven ability to read and interpret production schedules, bills of material, and shop floor routing documentation.
Ability to work on a production floor, including standing, walking, and physically verifying hardware across multiple work centers throughout a full shift.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a high-rate or complex assembly production environment, preferably in aerospace or rocket propulsion hardware.
Experience directly supporting production planning cadences (daily stand-ups, weekly scheduling, multi-week look-aheads) and translating plans into floor execution.
Demonstrated track record of driving accountability across cross-functional teams without direct authority — persistent, organized, and effective under pressure.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, constraint management (Theory of Constraints), and visual management systems for shop floor execution.
