Job Description

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Our sights are set high and our problems are hard, and we believe that diversity in the workplace is what makes us smarter, drives better insights, and will ultimately lift us all to success. We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.

About The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, you will lead and own Archer’s integration efforts end to end, from pre-signing through close and into steady-state operations. You will run Archer’s Integration Management Office (IMO), set the governance that keeps all integration workstreams moving, and build the repeatable playbook Archer applies to every deal that follows. This is a hands-on program leadership role with direct exposure to Archer’s executive team, department heads, and leadership teams of the companies Archer acquires.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead integration planning and execution for each of Archer’s acquisitions, from diligence through post-close and into steady-state operations
  • Own and run the Integration Management Office (IMO), serving as the primary point of contact for Archer’s executive team, functional leads, and leaders of acquired companies
  • Build and maintain the master integration plan, partnering with Archer functional leads to, track cross-functional dependencies, escalate blockers with clear recommendations, and drive timely decisions to support successful execution of critical integration activities
  • Identify, track, and capture the synergies and value-creation opportunities critical to the deal thesis across all major functional areas (e.g., engineering, people, finance, legal, etc.)
  • Serve as a trusted partner to acquired leadership teams, bridging cultural and operational differences to protect deal value and establish trust between teams
  • Put AI tools to work as a force multiplier, automating diligence synthesis, status reporting, and tracker upkeep so that your integration program scales independently of team size
  • Codify a scalable, repeatable M&A integration playbook for Archer and document lessons learned for future deals
  • Support the Head of Corporate Development and Archer executive team on broader M&A strategy efforts, including thesis generation, target sourcing and outreach and pre-signing transaction execution

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years of experience in M&A integration, corporate development, management consulting, or program/portfolio management, including direct experience leading integration efforts for at least one significant acquisition
  • Demonstrated ability to run a structured, cross-functional program, with clear ownership of timeline, risk, and reporting
  • Skilled communicator who can translate status, risk, and complexity into clear, concise updates for executive and steering committee audiences
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the judgment to make progress despite incomplete information
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, without losing sight of strategic goals driving the deal
  • Comfort with AI tools and demonstrated ability to apply them creatively to increase efficiency and output
  • Culturally attuned, with the ability to bridge differences between organizations and build trust quickly with new teammates
  • Prior experience integrating an acquired company into a public or late-stage private company

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-growth technology, aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing carve-out transactions, including Transition Services Agreement (TSA) execution and exit
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent program management credential
