Member of Technical Staff, Customer Deployments

Antioch
New York City, NY

Job Description

Who are we?

Antioch is the simulation platform that accelerates Physical AI development. We allow teams to design, train, and test their physical systems in high-fidelity cloud simulation, accelerated by 3D-native agents.

With Antioch, teams create precision-calibrated digital twins, generate testing environments, and run massively parallel simulation scenarios. By moving development out of the field and into software, Antioch drastically reduces dependence on expensive, slow, and incomplete real-world testing.

We work with leading robotics, autonomy, and perception teams to make the deployment of physical autonomous systems safer, faster, and more cost-effective.

Who are we looking for?

We're hiring a Member of Technical Staff on Customer Deployments to turn closed deals into successful, expanding customers.

This is an early, high-ownership, deeply operational role at the intersection of customers, engineering, and product. You'll run deployments for leading robotics and autonomy teams, coordinate the technical work that makes them succeed, and carry what you learn back into our product direction and go-to-market. You'll spend real time onsite with customers, and real time with the founders shaping how Antioch deploys, documents, and communicates.

If you love owning customer outcomes end to end, and want to define a function rather than inherit one, you'll fit right in.

What you’ll do

  • Lead post-sales deployments end to end, coordinating solutions architecture with hands-on support from the wider engineering team to make sure customer implementations are delivered on-time and with high quality.

  • Build the deployments function from scratch: define the playbooks, processes, and tooling that will scale to future customers.

  • Champion the customer feedback loop: collate signal across deployments, distill it from the noise, and work with the Head of Product and CTO to ensure customer requirements drive the product roadmap.

  • Curate Antioch's canonical content — documentation, training videos, and pre/post-sales collateral — and feed customer insight into product marketing.

  • Build deep trust with customers, both personal and technical, and convince a wide range of stakeholders of Antioch's value: engineers, PMs, VPs, CTOs, executives, founders, and CEOs.

  • Drive continuous needs-finding: expand pilots built around a single objective into new use cases across teams and organizations, and feed those learnings back into how we run go-to-market.

  • Travel onsite to customers across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

What we're looking for

You don't need every box checked. We're looking for strength in most of these:

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role: solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, technical program management, technical consulting, or post-sales at a technical product company.

  • Real technical depth. Our customer base is exclusively technical, so we expect at least technical-PM-level fluency: you can hold your own in deeply technical conversations, code effectively with the help of AI tools, and translate fluently between our customers' engineers and our team. Engineering support is always around you, but you must earn customer trust by understanding their domain.

  • Exceptional communication: you can explain a complex product crisply to an engineer, a PM, and a CEO in the same forum, in writing and in person.

  • Serious operational chops: a track record of coordinating high-stakes, tight-timeline projects across many stakeholders and driving them to completion.

  • Strong product instincts: you can spot the pattern across customer conversations and turn it into a clear, prioritized requirement.

  • Excellent writing: documentation, training materials, and customer-facing collateral that people actually use.

  • Strong familiarity with statistics and machine learning to help our customers rigorously compare simulation results with real-world telemetry.

  • Comfort with regular travel and in-person customer work across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with robotics, autonomy, simulation, or other Physical AI domains

  • Experience at an early-stage startup, or building a post-sales / deployments function from scratch

  • Experience running complex services or consulting delivery projects.

  • Founder experience, or a founder-adjacent role where you owned outcomes end to end with no one behind you

You may be a great fit if…

  • You're in NYC or open to relocating to NYC

  • You're a high-agency builder: you don't wait to be told what to do, you go figure it out

  • You give a shit — you care deeply about what you ship and reflexively take accountability

  • You like the 0 → 1 environment and chose it on purpose

  • You balance craft and pragmatism: you push for excellence, but ship what's needed now

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and love diving into messy customer problems to find the real need

  • You want to work at the intersection of cutting-edge physical systems and AI

  • You're customer-obsessed and want the thing to work for real people

Why Antioch

  • Real problems, real stakes. Our customers build physical autonomous systems that have to behave correctly in the real world, and our work directly affects whether they get there.

  • High ownership. You'll own the deployments function end-to-end rather than narrow tasks, with fast iteration and direct customer feedback.

  • Team caliber. Work with a founding team who have previously built and sold companies, and worked at leading companies like Google Deepmind, Tesla Autopilot, Meta Reality Labs, and more.

  • Build the company, not just the product. Early team members help define engineering culture, product direction, and how we win.

Interview Process

  1. Application review

  2. Introduction call

  3. Customer scenario interview (a sample deployment and stakeholder exercise that closely emulates work you'll do in the role)

  4. Project deep dive (one of your past deployments or projects, in detail)

  5. Onsite with the Antioch team in New York City
