Drawing on deep SATCOM industry expertise, the Product Manager works hand-in-hand with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Service Delivery to bring the terminal to market, and is accountable for its profitability through cost optimisation. As the product expert, the role supports Sales, Business Development and Marketing, produces white papers and product documentation, and clearly communicates product decisions across the organisation and directly to the senior leadership team.

  • Own the core terminal architecture, ensuring it meets performance, reliability, size, weight and power (SWaP) and manufacturability requirements.
  • Translate market requirements into clear and thorough product-level requirements for Engineering.
  • Act as the product authority in design reviews, driving design quality and resolving trade-offs between performance, cost and schedule.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Engineering to develop features that vastly improve quality of service and quality of experience for end users.
  • Drive innovation in all aspects of the design through hands-on analysis.

Product Lifecycle Ownership

  • Own products through the full new product introduction (NPI) lifecycle, from concept to launch and in-life support.
  • Take product requirements through stage-gate reviews and secure the required approvals at each gate.
  • Track engineering progress against requirements, schedule and budget, escalating risks and trade-offs as needed.
  • Prepare Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Service Delivery teams for product launch and ongoing support.

Commercial Accountability

  • Own the profitability of the Hydra terminal product line, tracking cost, pricing, revenue and margin performance.
  • Drive cost optimisation, including bill of materials (BOM) and manufacturing cost reduction, in partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

Go-to-Market & Commercial Support

  • Collaborate with the product owner to develop the go-to-market strategy for the product line.
