Job Description

Lambda Robotics (YC F26) builds autonomous systems for physical infrastructure. As a Robotics Mechatronics Engineer, you’ll design and integrate the mechanical, actuation, sensing, and electromechanical systems that allow our robots to operate reliably in the real world.

What you’ll do

  • Design robot structures, mechanisms, actuator assemblies, sensor mounts, and protective enclosures.
  • Integrate motors, gearboxes, bearings, sensors, and other electromechanical components.
  • Take systems from CAD through prototyping, fabrication, assembly, wiring, bring-up, and field testing.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers to integrate complete robotic systems.

What we’re looking for

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, machine elements, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with CAD, hands-on prototyping, machining, fabrication, or robot assembly.
  • Familiarity with actuators, motors, sensors, wiring, and electromechanical system integration.
  • A bias toward shipping, testing, and improving systems in the field.
