Remote Research Engineer Latency Throughput Jobs

We’re looking for research engineers who have built demanding ML or distributed systems, can debug across the stack, and want to work closely with researchers

What We're Looking For We're looking for an engineer to found our Operations Research Team

with high-throughput data processing systems Our Interview Process Informational with a member from our Talent

Work with researchers and training-infra teams on how jobs actually read and write data, and turn that into throughput, latency, and durability requirements

We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders.

Our existing systems engineering team is in San Francisco and works in person several days a week.

About the Role We’re looking to hire someone to own inference research hands-on and find ways to lower cost per token and latency

Our team is a quickly growing group of researchers, engineers and operators building the economy that shapes what AI will become.

VGS Engineering is the pillar that supports that vision.

Overview: We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a strong Operations Research background to join the

Build tooling, scripts, automations, and agentic workflows that scale investigative throughput and reduce manual effort.

Strong engineering fundamentals.

About the Role We're hiring a Python performance engineer to own maximizing throughput, minimizing latency and ensuring our platform

Track latency, throughput, concurrency, and infrastructure cost, with a focus on datastore efficiency (we run on ClickHouse Cloud).
