Vishal Kapoor

Vishal Kapoor serves as Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer for Chia Network. Chia is a technology infrastructure company building a transformative open-source public blockchain focused on real- world utility, that is secure in approach, regulatory compliant, while being sustainable by design. Focused on driving adoption, his responsibilities include strategizing new verticals, developing partnerships, incubating new business ventures, and corporate development for the company.

Before joining Chia, Vishal served as the CEO of Paradata, a machine learning-based RPA engine for analyzing and adjudicating supply chain component data. He is also a partner at Three-Legged Stool - a company that creates software solutions to serve the needs of the COVID crisis and beyond.

Earlier in his career, Kapoor worked in engineering, sales and product management at Alcatel, Silicon Access Networks, Verisity, and Cadence.

Vishal began his career engaged in the discovery of the Higgs Boson particle, developing big data and tiered data acquisition systems at the Superconducting Super Collider for the U.S. Department of Energy.

He earned a BS in engineering from the University of Bombay and an MS in computer science from the University of Texas specializing in advanced computer architecture and artificial intelligence. He was the co- founder of the higher education startup Vocareum, and served on the boards of Paradata, Class Central and ThoughtBase and the Advisory Boards of Satalia, Apomaya and Etairos.
