Timothy P. McKenna is a public health and safety regulation compliance specialist, economics analyst, author, and public speaker. An environmental advocate for more than 20 years, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Administration from Ferris State University. Much of Tim’s professional career involves working as a public health and safety and environmental regulations specialist, in which his primary task is ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations. Given his years of professional experience in various environmental and public health and safety advocacies, Tim has naturally racked up an extensive track record of service to the community. However, in terms of lasting effect and significance, it is perhaps in his role as environmental regulations advocate that Tim's contributions have been most crucial. A certified education institute inspector for a significant portion of his career, Tim is an expert in determining and ensuring regulations compliance with regard to hazardous materials, particularly of asbestos. In this role, Tim is tasked primarily with enforcing standards and regulations established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which has the mandate to pass laws pertaining to public safety. The job was by no means an easy one. But threats to his person and property did nothing to dissuade Timothy P. McKenna from persisting in his advocacy, and he continued to record data from these sites and published his findings with his characteristic tenacity and resolve. Tim’s lifelong commitment to his environmental advocacy extends beyond the professional field. A longtime resident of Green Valley, Arizona who maintains close ties to the community, Tim has also utilized his considerable talents as a public speaker in bringing environmental concerns to the attention of the public. Over the past several years, Tim has practically become a fixture around town because of his public speaking engagements in which he provided detailed information on specific public health and safety issues to community residents. For Tim, these talks are just as much a way to give back to the community of which he is part as it is a platform by which serious environmental concerns could be brought to the attention of a bigger percentage of the public.
