Sallai Meridor

Until recently Sallai served as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States. During his term, relations between the countries excelled, as exemplified by Americas strategic cooperation with Israel, increased military aid and expanded security-related cooperation vis-a-vis common threats. Sallai’s distinguished career, following an army service as an Intelligence officer, included serving as Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel and the World Zionist Organization, as well as acting as an advisor to Israel’s Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs. Sallai was one of Israel’s representatives to the Madrid Conference and the ensuing negotiations, and these leadership positions in the global arena have given him a deep understanding of national security matters, a wide perspective on global trends, and a vast network of relationships around the globe.
