Ron Hunt

Ron Hunt is a Managing Director at New Leaf Venture Partners, and focuses on investments in biopharmaceutical companies. Ron was one of the founders of New Leaf following the spin out from the Sprout Group in 2005, and today has nearly 2 decades of venture capital investment experience. Prior to joining Sprout in early 1998, Ron was a consultant with the pharmaceutical industry practice at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting and then with The Health Care Group (a division of the Interpublic Group of companies). His consulting work spanned 4 years and focused on strategic and operational engagements for clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Prior to entering the consulting field, Ron held a number of sales and marketing positions for a combined 8 years with Johnson & Johnson and SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals. Ron is a graduate of The Wharton School (M.B.A.) and Cornell University (B.S.).
