Founder and Partner of Arctaris, Mr. Waldo brings over 10 years of experience as both a private equity investor and as a lawyer in the venture capital and private equity industry. Previously, Mr. Waldo was a Vice-President at Brook Venture Partners where he analyzed, structured, and negotiated various debt and equity financings for the firm, including three royalty based transactions. While at Brook, Mr. Waldo served as a Board Observer to five portfolio companies, as well as structured and negotiated follow-on financings for the firm. Prior to Brook, Mr. Waldo was with the Venture Capital & Emerging Companies practice group at the law firm of Nixon Peabody LLP in Boston, where he advised venture-stage companies and private equity firms.Before that he was an Associate at Echelon Ventures, LLC, an early stage, high tech venture capital fund where he was responsible for analyzing, structuring and sourcing investment opportunities for the firm. Prior to that he was an Associate in the Corporate & Securities Group at Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw LLP in New York City, where he represented private equity and growth stage company clients in a variety of mergers and acquisitions, leverage buyouts and other financing transactions. Mr. Waldo received his A.B. from Cornell University and his JD/MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
