Prakash Patel

Prakash Patel, MD has more than 16 years of senior leadership experience in specialty healthcare, healthcare operations, product development, alliances, acquisitions and strategic planning. Dr. Patel was recruited to Access MediQuip in 2011. Prior to joining Access MediQuip, Dr. Patel was Chief Corporate Development Officer for Magellan Health Services, Inc., where he was instrumental in the acquisitions of ICORE and First Health Services. He also led operations for Magellan-owned National Imaging Associates and strengthened its focus on specialty healthcare management. Dr. Patel holds a doctor of medicine degree from Cornell University Medical College and a B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Michigan. He completed three years of an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh, and completed finance, marketing and accounting classes at the University of Connecticut’s MBA program.
