Peter Smitham

Peter has over 20 years of private equity experience at Permira, formerly Schroder Ventures, where he is a partner and has held the positions of UK Managing Partner and European Chairman. During his time with the company, Peter led the first European buyout fund to exceed EUR1 billion and in 2006 Permira raised a EUR11 billion fund, the largest ever raised by a European private equity firm. Peter is a non-executive director of Freescale and Atlantic Philanthropies.
