Patrick Cescau

Patrick Cescau was appointed a Non-executive Director on 1 February 2009 and became Senior Independent Director in July 2010. Patrick was Group Chief Executive of Unilever from 2005 to 1 January 2009, and prior to this he was Chairman of Unilever plc and Vice Chairman of Unilever NV and Foods Director. He was also a Non-executive Director of Pearson plc from 2002 until 2012 and become Senior Independent Director in April 2010. Patrick was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of InterContinental Hotels Group on 1 January 2011 and is also a Non-Executive Director of International Airlines Group. He was appointed a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 2005. He is a trustee of the Leverhulme Trust and Chairman of St Jude India Children’s Charity, and was formerly a Director at INSEAD.
