Michael J. Cannata

Michael is an accomplished entrepreneur with a proven track record as CEO of multiple start-up and early stage technology companies across various industry sectors. Michael has been involved in the monetization of patents since 2002 and joined Northwater in 2005 to establish the Northwater affiliate NW Patent Funding Corporation. Michael advises and manages the Fund’s patent management investments and led the initiative in the i4i vs. Microsoft patent litigation. Michael is a member of the Licensing Executives Society (LES), a fellow in the International IP Strategist Association (INTIPSA), a named inventor on five US patents and a board member of i4iLP. Intellectual Asset Management selected Michael in 2009, 2010 and 2011 to the IAM 300 list of World Leading IP Strategists.
