Michael Fisch

Michael Fisch is a founder of American Securities and has been CEO since the company began in 1993. He is also a Managing Member of the general partners of the American Securities Partners' series of private equity funds and a member of the Investment Committee. Before founding American Securities, he was a partner in two private equity funds, a consultant in the Paris office of Bain & Company, and a member of Goldman Sachs’ mergers and acquisitions team. Michael received a BA in Economics and Policy Studies from Dartmouth College, where he is a Member of the President’s Leadership Council, and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, where he has been a guest lecturer since 2006. Michael serves as a Director of the 1162 Foundation, a Member of the Board of Trustees of Northwell Health, Chairman of the Board of the Princeton Theological Seminary and on the Executive Committee of the Board of Atlantic Council. He has served in board, leadership and advisory positions for many nonprofit organizations, including Brick Presbyterian Church, Human Rights Watch, Lower Canada College, ICV Partners and Legalist. He is also a highly sought after board member and advisor in private industry. Michael is Chairman of the Freedom and Prosperity Center Advisory Council and a frequent panelist and speaker for Atlantic Council forums and events, which seek to improve the lives of poor and marginalized people in developing countries. He has authored a number of articles and appeared as a guest on national television programs and podcasts, specializing in private equity and investing.
