Mr. Li joined SIG in 2011, focusing on investment opportunities in the TMT sector. Mr. Li has more than seventeen years of experience in the telecommunications and internet industries in the United States, and has led R&D initiatives for many successful high-tech companies. Mr. Li was the Director of Online Systems at Ask.com, and developed an industry-leading search technology based on structured data. Before that, he was the Director of R&D for UTStarcom’s broadband access business, and was in charge of the development of IP-DSLAM broadband access equipment; the industry’s earliest large-scale commercial deployment. Mr. Li has a deep understanding of the latest Internet technology trends and business ecosystems and has a rich experience leading technical teams at startup companies. Mr. Li holds two degrees in Computer Science: a BS from the University of Science and Technology of China and an MS from Rutgers University.
