Kuah Cheng Ooi

Cheng Ooi has over seven years of experience in private equity, corporate advisory and fund management and has been with UOBVM since 2013. As Associate Director, he is responsible for sourcing and screening of good investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio companies and executing exit strategies. Prior to UOBVM, Cheng Ooi was Associate Director for M&A Transaction Services with Deloitte Malaysia, providing due diligence and valuation services to clients from a wide range of industries. Before that, he was the head of research and strategy for Hadrons Capital, a corporate advisory and private equity firm in Malaysia. Cheng Ooi received his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide. He holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of CFA Institute. He is conversant in Chinese, Cantonese and Bahasa Malaysia.
