Kirsten Sutton

Kirsten Sutton is the Chief Operating Officer of Photonic. Kirsten Sutton attended Western Washington University.

Kirsten is the managing director of SAP Labs Canada and global head of engineering for SAP Jam. As managing director, Kirsten is responsible for inspiring innovation within the Canadian development organization and managing SAP’s four research and development hubs across Canada. As head of engineering for SAP Jam, Kirsten leads a team of 100 developers to deliver cutting edge cloud collaboration software to more than 30 million users worldwide. With more than 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, Kirsten previously served as managing direction for SAP Labs Vancouver, global director of technology development operations for SAP, as well as chair of the Vancouver Leadership Team. She has also served as global director of translation, where she incorporated leading-edge technologies and progressive processes in the centralization of translation services across the organization. Because of her active support for SAP’s Autism at Work program, Kirsten was selected for the British Columbia Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation Presidents Group – an advisory committee of business leaders to champion advice, learnings and better outcomes for people with disabilities. Kirsten is a playwright and a French chef, two skills that lend to her artistic flair. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in linguistics and creative writing from Western Washington University, in Bellingham, Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with honours from the University of California at Irvine, in Irvine, California.
