Josh Sookman

Building MasterHealth to help millions actualize their health goals. We form strong partnerships with health experts (followed by millions of fans), to offer mobile-first health programs that leverage behaviour change science, psychology, and human connection to help people realize their health goals. We've got great investors, and now growing our team! Prior to MasterHealth, Josh has held key roles on the Ritual Leadership Team, Growth and Product Teams, and Expansion Team. He launched Ritual's first 2 markets, Toronto and Chicago. He created and managed 3 new user acquisition channels that contributed 30%+ of all users acquired by Ritual from 2015-2018, and translated into ~$100M in all-time GMV sales for the business. Before focusing his career on launching and scaling startups, Josh worked in venture capital with the BlackBerry Partners Fund (now Relay Ventures) and RBC Venture Partners. In these roles, he was the Lead Analyst for 10 completed investments including Verafin, Varicent (acquired by IBM), Aepona (acquired by Intel), SocialDeck (acquired by Google), Xobni (acquired by Yahoo!) & Transpera (acquired by Tremor Media). He also assisted portfolio companies with product development. Josh has advised and mentored numerous entrepreneurs, startups and accelerators, and judged competitions for entrepreneurs including the Social eChallenge Competition at Stanford University, the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) at MIT and Intel Challenge Europe.
