Joseph J Buggy

Joseph J Buggy is a co-founder and an executive vice president for discovery research at [Corvus Pharmaceuticals](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/corvus-pharmaceuticals), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel agents. Previously, he served as the vice president for research and project leader of the BTK inhibitor ibrutinib program at Pharmacyclics. From 2001 to 2006, Buggy was with Celera Genomics, where he served as director in the department of biology and principal scientist. He holds a PhD in molecular, cellular, and development biology from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh.
