Jong Pil Kim

Head of Investment Group/Senior Managing Director Jong-pil is a Senior Managing Director and overseas all activities of KIP's Investment Group. He has been investing in ventures his whole professional career and has led KIP's milestone investments including Able C&C and Woori ETI. His performance and contribution to the Korean venture capital market was acknowledged by the Head of Small and Medium Business Administration(SMBA) in 2005. Jong-pil is currently the lead manager of Fund 12(NPC 07-1 Korea Venture Fund No. 12, KRW 60bn), Fund 15(09-7 Korea Venture Fund No. 15, KRW 70bn), and Fund 20(Korea Investment Global Frontier Fund No. 20, KRW 104.8bn). He started his VC career in the investment team at KTB Network and worked as an investment officer at Mirae Asset Venture Investment before he joined KIP in 2000. Jong-pil studied Business Administration at Sogang University.
