John Charles

John is a member of the investment team for the £30 million North West Fund for Venture Capital, which provides capital for new and early-stage start-up companies located throughout the North West. He lives in Cumbria and focuses on delivering the fund in the region. John has had an extensive career in corporate and merchant banking at regional director level. He has worked with Enterprise Ventures for over a decade, and was involved in running the business whilst the management buy-out in 2002 was taking place. He also helped set up and run the MSIF Mezzanine Fund in Liverpool. John holds a number of non-executive directorships, advising on financial and strategic planning.
