Jim leads the engineering team at SigOpt, a company developing tools to accelerate and amplify the ML modeling process. Previous experiences include running ML organizations at Yelp such as search, recommendation, and content abuse; leading Infrastructure and IT at the startup PBWorks; and scaling Amazon's search services at A9. He enjoys speaking and travel, has lectured at UC Berkeley and presented at conferences such as AWS re:Invent, O’Reilly’s OSCON and RecSys.
