James Berges

James Berges is a Partner at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC since 2006. James is also a member of the Investment Committee. Previously, James served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of Emerson Electric Co. from 1999 until his retirement in 2005. Emerson Electric Co. is a global manufacturer of products, systems and services for industrial automation, process control, HVAC, electronics and communications, and appliances and tools. Prior to Emerson, James worked at General Electric Company. James served as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. from 2006 to 2012, HD Supply, Inc. from 2007 to 2014 and Hussmann International from 2011 to 2016, during CD&R’s investments in those companies. James currently represents CD&R as Chairman of the Executive Committee of NCI Building Systems and Member of the Board of Directors of Atkore International. James is a director of PPG Industries, Inc. and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Association of Manufacturers. James received a presidential appointment to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations in March 2005. James holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
