Ivy Santoso

Born and raised in Indonesia, Ivy has seen with her own eyes the impact private sector development can have on economic growth. Over the past two decades, Ivy has made investments throughout Asia but always with Indonesia as her main focus, seeing it through major ups and downs. Ivy does not need to be persuaded how effectively deployed capital can be as an agent of positive change when combined with a rigorous investment strategy and discipline in governance standards. She has a very strong knowledge and understanding of the opportunities available in Indonesia today and leads Actis’s efforts in this geography. Before joining Actis in 2013, Ivy spent over ten years as Indonesian country head for Avenue Capital, a New York based investor. During this time she has built up an extensive track record both in executing transactions and in portfolio management. Ivy began her career as an accountant for Adindo Foresta Indonesia before working in banking and stockbroking. She has a BA in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
