Indra Hornsby

Indra Hornsby was a general counsel at Spaceflight Industries. Hornsby has over 19 years of experience managing legal and business issues in the global commercial space sector. Prior to Spaceflight, Hornsby was vice president, legal at Saab Defense and Security in Washington, D.C., where she was part of a team focused on leveraging the company’s diversified aerospace technology portfolio in the Americas. Previously, Hornsby was corporate counsel for MDA Corporation where she contributed to multi-million dollar transactions including mergers and acquisitions, and worked strategic space initiatives in manned space, space robotics, commercial spaceflight, geospatial systems and on-orbit satellite servicing. During her career, she has contributed to the creation of national space legislation, on export control reforms, on developing government policies for aerospace technology advancement and in furthering space education and awareness. Hornsby is an active member with the Commercial Spaceflight Federation, currently sits on the Governing Committee for the ABA’s Air & Space Law Forum and has held positions on several boards over the years.
