Ian Adams

Ian Adams is senior fellow at the R Street Institute. Previously, Ian worked for the office of California state Assemblyman Curt Hagman, while Hagman served as vice chairman of the California Assembly Insurance Committee. In this role, Ian was responsible for appraising legislative and regulatory concepts, providing vote recommendations for bills in committee and on the Assembly floor and performing a host of other public affairs duties. Prior to that, Ian worked under state Rep. Bruce Hanna, who was then co-speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives. Ian's prior experiences include serving as a law clerk for the Personal Insurance Federation of California and as an intern in the office of former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ian holds bachelor's degrees in history and philosophy from Seattle University and received his law degree from University of Oregon.
