Hideto Nishitani

Hideto Nishitani is the Board Member at Pocketalk. He attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Kwansei Gakuin University. Mr. Nishitani is the former Chairman of ORIX USA Corporation in 2012 and served as Deputy President since 2006, with nearly 30 years of comprehensive global business experience in financial services within the ORIX Group in the U.K., Ireland, Canada and Japan. For 10 years before joining ORIX USA, Mr. Nishitani gained and broadened his experience in the business of both structured finance and investment banking. Between 2001 and 2006, Mr. Nishitani was actively involved in the M&A and buyout investment business as SVP at the Principal Investment Group of Investment Banking Headquarters in Japan where he was responsible for sourcing, acquiring, restructuring and managing portfolio companies for investment return. Mr. Nishitani is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network in London, the Securities Analyst Association and the Association of Turnaround Professionals in Japan. Mr. Nishitani was appointed as Executive Officer of ORIX Corporation on January 1, 2011. Mr. Nishitani earned his Bachelor of Economics degree from Kwansei-Gakuin University in Japan in 1983 and Masters of Economics degree from the London School of Economics, University of London in 1990.
