Guillermo Cortina

Guillermo Cortina is the Expert in Residence at The Venture City. Guillermo has been involved in investments, capital raising, strategic alliances, corporate strategy, and acquisitions and dispositions for over 25 years. In his prior role as an Investment Banker for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, he gave strategic advice to emerging markets corporations especially in Latin America. Guillermo helped these companies raise significant amounts of capital in the US debt and equity capital markets. From 1997 to 2009, he was the Head of International Corporate Development for Bank of America Corporation. In this capacity Guillermo sourced, negotiated and executed large and complex domestic, cross-border, and regional M&A deals and strategic alliances in a wide range of locations.
