George Rossolatos

George joined the CBGF as its founding CEO in January 2018, bringing a passion to help entrepreneurs across Canada grow their companies and ‘think bigger’. Prior to CBGF, George was CEO of Avante Logixx Inc. (TSXV:XX). As an investor and operator at Avante for 7 years, his mandate was to determine the company’s strategic direction and vision and execute the go forward plan which included an operational turnaround. Under George’s leadership, Avante’s value grew significantly as it turned to profitability with revenue quadrupling via organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Prior to Avante, George worked in the private equity industry for 10 years. He was a partner and co-founder of TorQuest Partners Inc. a mid-market Canadian private equity fund from its inception in early 2002 until 2010. While at TorQuest, George and his partners raised over $700 million to invest in mid-market buyout opportunities for institutional investors and successfully invested this capital in building growth platform companies across manufacturing, business services, retail, insurance and other industries. Prior to TorQuest, George was an investment principal at Harrowston Inc., a publicly traded merchant bank where he assessed and analyzed investment opportunities. Prior to Harrowston, he spent five years with Ernst & Young LLP managing a group focused on middle market companies.
