Gene Lockhart

Gene is a seasoned investor and accomplished senior executive with a passion for team and company building. At MissionOG, he focuses on deal flow, management and leadership strategy, and market analysis. Gene is also a Special Advisor at General Atlantic. Formerly, he was a venture partner at Oak Investment Partners focused on financial services technology opportunities. He led the development of the Oak FinTech portfolio and built it into a premier growth equity portfolio. Gene has served in a variety of senior executive roles, including president and CEO of MasterCard International, CEO of Midland Bank PLC, president of the Global Retail Bank of BankAmerica Corporation, and president of consumer services at AT&T.Gene has chaired or served as a board member of many successful growth companies, including NetSpend, Argus International, Community Choice Financial, Metro Bank PLC, Vesta, Progressive Finance, and others. Gene serves as a board member of portfolio companies Pay4Later and Accurate Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from The Darden School at the University of Virginia.
