Fred Morgan serves as the President and CEO of The State Chamber of Oklahoma. Born in St. Louis, Fred moved to attend law school at Oklahoma City University. In addition to managing his own law firm, Fred has served the state in a variety of roles including serving in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1994 to 2006. During his legislative career, Fred was responsible for passage of major lawsuit and workers’ compensation reform, numerous public safety measures and many pro-growth bills that helped Oklahoma’s economy flourish. He rose through the ranks to become minority leader and chairman of the Judiciary Committee. He subsequently served as General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to the first Republican-led Senate in state history. Fred currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Business Roundtable, Oklahoma Heritage Association, i2E and the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives. He is also a member of the U. S. Chamber’s Committee of 100, the National Public Affairs Steering Committee of the National Assoc. of Manufacturers, and the Economic Club of Oklahoma. In addition, Fred has served as president of the Oklahoma City Rotary Club and is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City and Leadership Oklahoma.
