Eyran Lida

Eyran Lida is the lead inventor of HDBaseT technology, and as Valens’ Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for technology and strategy development and for the company’s patent portfolio. Eyran’s background includes 25 years of communication systems software and hardware architecture development experience, with primary expertise in wireline hardwired DSP modem design. He holds 45 US patents and is the Chair of the HDBaseT Alliance Technical Committee. In this position, Eyran is responsible for the definition and development of new HDBaseT specifications. Before Valens, Eyran was a co-founder of Mysticom Semiconductor, Israel, a leading supplier of high-speed communication integrated circuits. At Mysticom (acquired by TranSwitch), he held the position of Director of Architecture and System Solutions. He was also involved in the development of the 100BaseT, 1000BaseT and 10GBaseCX4 Ethernet Phy integrated circuits, including major contributions to the unique patented architectures of those solutions.Prior to that, he developed real-time software for IP and IPX routers at the Rad Bynat Group. Eyran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Computer Science from the Hebrew University, Israel.
