Elias is an Strategic Advisor at CounterCraft. An expert in information arbitrage and computational finance, he is co-founder of the trading strategies and analytics firm, Kinetic Global Markets (KGM). As CEO/CIO of KGM, he drove the firm's systematic generation of alpha by leveraging a purely computational "big data" approach in its investment process. While at KGM, Elias served as advisor to IA Ventures, where he conducted sourcing, screening and due diligence of big data startups during the early fund formation. Earlier, Elias was a National Practice Director at Razorfish during its peak years in 2000-2001, where he was responsible for the development of core strategic capabilities in the areas of infrastructure, mobile, and broadband. He also served as a member of Razorfish’s investment team, Razorfish Ventures, where he identified acquisition and startup investments for the firm. During the mid-1990‘s, Elias served for 3+ years as a Director and first CSO at Reuters' market-trading subsidiary Instinet Corporation, where he managed an international team and developed a strategy for 24 regional sites including North America, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Rim. Prior to Instinet, he served as Vice President of Operations for a government contractor in the Maryland/Virginia area (now Verizon Government), where clients included various defense and intelligence agencies, as well as other government organizations. From time to time he has been a guest lecturer at major hedge funds and universities such as Harvard and NYU. Mr. Ladopoulos has also previously consulted for Silicon Valley venture firms as a subject matter expert (Hummer Winblad, Technology Partners), as well as for several media firms, accomplished authors, and filmmakers.
