Eduardo Guardia is a Former Finance Minister of Brazil and currently Partner and CEO of BTG Pactual Asset Management. Guardia served as Brazilian Finance Minister in 2018 and was Executive Secretary to the Finance Minister from 2016 to 2018. He was appointed Treasury Secretary in 2002 and was Head of the São Paulo State Finance Department from 2003 and 2006. Guardia was also an executive director of B3, formerly BM&FBovespa, the São Paulo stock exchange, and served as Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer of asset manager GP Investments. Guardia has a PhD in economics from Faculdade de Economia e Administração da Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
