Dominique Houde is a Partner at Drake Star based in the firm’s Amsterdam and London offices. He is a senior finance executive in the technology and infrastructure mobility space with a background in international investment banking. Dominique brings over 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, along with deep vertical expertise in advanced mobility and automotive technology, both in the US and in Europe. Prior to joining Drake Star Partners, Dominique held several leadership roles with major players in the electric vehicle charging space, such as Allego (Netherlands/Germany/UK), ChargePoint (US) and Pod Point (UK). He also launched Autotech Ventures, the first independent automotive technology venture capital fund in Silicon Valley. Prior to these, Dominique was Director of Corporate Finance at Group Lotus, leading external finance initiatives and playing a key role in the carmaker’s turnaround plan, which included a $430 million syndicated loan raise to finance the group’s business plan. Dominique also held several senior roles at top-tier global investment banks. Most recently, he was Executive Director, Global Head of Automotive at Royal Bank of Scotland & ABN Amro, where he led the banks global advisory, debt and equity activities with large automotive clients. He also advised Renault SA on its purchase of 37% of Nissan Motors – a marquee M&A transaction in the automobile industry – while at Merrill Lynch. Dominique received his Master of Science in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
