Divya Gokulnath

Divya Gokulnath is an entrepreneur, educator and co-founder of BYJU’S, the world’s leading edtech company and the creator of one of India’s most popular school learning apps. A passionate teacher, Divya has been teaching from the age of 21 and has been instrumental in ideating and strategizing across content, business growth and product offerings at BYJU’S. She has been on the board of the company, right from its inception. Divya has also been deeply involved in setting up the user experience team that helps ensure a seamless learning experience for students on the BYJU’S app. With a keen focus on measuring effectiveness and engagement at BYJU’S (the two most important numbers as per the company), she has also been involved in setting up teams to drive these student satisfaction metrics. In addition, Divya is also building BYJU’S’ international teams. In 2020, in light of the disruption in learning created by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for underprivileged children, Divya spearheaded the launch of the BYJU’S Social Initiative, Education for All, which aims at making quality digital learning available to 10 million children from underserved communities by the year 2025. A firm believer in curiosity-led learning, Divya credits technology-driven education for making learning more impactful and accessible. She also plays a major role in curating academic learning experiences at BYJU’S and is popular among the student community for teaching maths and biology on the application.
