David Wood

David Wood serves as Vice President of Payments at Presto. David is an accomplished leader with deep expertise in mobile payments, wireless, mobile apps, mobile commerce SaaS, M2M and LBS. Prior to joining Presto, David served as Head of Sales, Americas at mobile payments integrator C-SAM (acquired by MasterCard). Previously, he was the Senior Director of Business Development and Lead, Payments Strategy at Qualcomm. Earlier David co-founded and served as Chief Revenue Officer and Board Member for De Carta Software, who was acquired by Uber in 2015. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in , international relations and an master’s in interactive education technology from Stanford University. An avid gardener and outdoorsman, David’s interests include civil rights, child welfare, and backpacking. He also has served as a foster parent and a court appointed special advocate (CASA) in his native Santa Cruz County.
