Cristóbal Silva Bengolea

One of the characteristics we look for in entrepreneurs is willingness to take risks and sacrifice for one’s goals. Cristóbal personifies this attribute, leaving one of the most prestigious law firms in Chile, Bahamondez Alvarez & Zeger, to co-found Origo Ventures and its Chilean joint venture, Fen Ventures. At BAZ, Cristóbal worked under the tutelage of the partners to become of the leading experts in the area of Technology and Venture Capital in Chile, participating directly in a large number of fundings of startups in Chile and abroad, from seed to Series B rounds – participating in regional expansion and some of the first exits of local companies to the U.S. Prior to BAZ, Cristóbal worked as an associate at Carvallo Bizzarri & Garcia, representing family offices and PE funds in their investments, with experience in M&A, foreign financing and refinancing, securities and IPOs. Cristóbal is Professor of the course “Protection and Innovation Funding” at the Universidad Católica in Santiago and is a director and co-founder of Idealis Legal Recruiting as well as a director at Crisis Management Latin America SA. He has a law degree from the Universidad Católica, an LL.M from Northwestern Law School and a Certificate in Management from Kellogg School of Management.
