Charles LaCalle

As head of startup recruiting, Charles is the first touchpoint startups have with Dreamit Ventures. He supports the investment team in identifying fast-growing companies and making investment recommendations for the digital health and education technology accelerator. As manager of the Dreamit community (comprised of over 250 startups), Charles focuses on finding ways for portfolio companies to succeed and build more cohesive relationships. Part of this role includes designing and implementing culture initiatives in order to develop an engaging and positive community within the accelerator. Other aspects of the job include building on the current platform of mailing lists and meetups by identifying social tools and services that create value for portfolio companies, supporting portfolio companies with actionable advice and introductions, coordinating weekly webinars with industry experts and venture investors, and fostering connection online and offline between members of the Dreamit network.
