Carsten Rahlfs

Carsten Rahlfs is Managing Partner at Waterland Private Equity and leading the office in Hamburg. Since 2009, he has been involved in the following transactions and portfolio companies: ATOS, GolfRange, MEDIAN, Ranger Marketing, RHM, SenioCare, VivaNeo, Zentrum Gesundheit, Schönes Leben and Coeo Inkasso. Before joining Waterland, Dr. Rahlfs has been Managing Director of the French consumer goods manufacturer Staub Group, being responsible for Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Management. As Head of Corporate Development at Zwilling J.A. Henckels AG he was responsible for the acquisitions of Staub Group and Demeyere N.V. (Belgium). Before that he worked for Tchibo GmbH in Hamburg. Dr. Rahlfs started his career as Top-Management-Consultant with McKinsey & Company in Hamburg where he worked mainly in the consumer goods sector. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and received a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. pol.) in Finance Theory and Strategic Management, both at the University of Lüneburg, Germany.
