Carlos Ralli Ucendo

Carlos Ralli Ucendo is the chair of the IPv6 Council in Spain. He connected for the first time Telefónica R&D to the international IPv6 networks (6Bone) back in 1999. In 2010 and 2011 he was the head of delegation to the IETF and was the global coordinator of Telefonica participation in the ISOC-organized IPv6 World IPv6 days. Carlos also chaired (2010-2014) the Spanish IPv6 Observatory , which brought together the main Telecom operators (Vodafone, BT, Euskaltel and Telefonica), the National Research network (Rediris), Universities (UPM, UMU, UPV, UPV/EHU, UPC), integrators (Consulintel, Bondis.org) and the Spanish Internet Exchange point (Espanix) as per their interest in the adoption and evolution of IPv6 at an international and national scale.” Lately, he has been in charge of the adaptation of EU FIWARE IoT platform to IPv6 and launched Telefonica’s “Sevilla IPv6 Smartcity Pilot” including IPv6 3G connectivity.
