Bruce "Tog" Tognazzini

Bruce Tognazzini is the principal and usability consultant at [Nielsen Norman Group](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/nielsen-norman-group), a computer user interface and user experience consulting firm. Prior to Nielsen Norman Group, Tognazzini was an HCI Designer at [Apple](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/apple), Distinguished Engineer at [Sun Microsystems](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/sun-microsystems), Chief Designer at [WebMD](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/webmd), and a user experience designer at [Palate Home](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/palate-home). During his 14 years at Apple, he designed Apple’s first human interface and wrote eight editions of the Apple Human Interface Guidelines. He is also the founder of [Silicon Graphics](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/silicon-graphics-sgi) and [Netscape](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/netscape). Tognazzini is a prolific inventor and has published two books, Tog on Interface and Tog on Software Design, as well as co-authoring many others.
